Helensvale Hurricanes Basketball Club.
At Hurricanes, we aim to nurture your child’s passion for basketball through the development of their fundamental skills, team culture and fun – the most important ingredient in team sports.
We cater to both boys’ and girls’ teams competing in the North Gold Coast Seahawks Junior Basketball Competition based at the Coomera Indoor Basketball Stadium. Weekly training sessions are held at Coomera Stadium, Runaway Bay Indoor Sports Centre and other schools in the local region.
Our club fundamentally believes in supporting and developing our coaches and players alike. We have players of all ages and skills, from beginners to representative players with the North Gold Coast Seahawks Basketball Association.
Games are played over four competition days at Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, Runaway Bay Indoor Sports Centre and other schools in the local region.
- Thursday night: U12 & U14 Girls & Super League Girls (Div 1 & 2)
- Friday night: U16 Boys & U18 Boys
- Super Saturday: U8 Mixed Miniball, U10 Boys & Girls, U12 & U14 Boys
- Sunday: U20 Boys

Awards
Each season in the U10s to U20s competition, we will have an MVP & Coach’s Award winner for each team. These are presented on Grand Final day and we will post times closer to the event. Each U8 Miniball player receives an encouragement certificate after the last game of the term the competition runs in.
Each Christmas we hold an end of season party, keep an eye out on Facebook for announcements at the time.
